Death seeking Apple Snail

My snail seems to have a fetish for dying fish, yes dying. The last two to die i have found in the clutches of his foot, first a honey gourami whixh i returned home to find the snail stood upright on his foot with the rest of the foot wrapped around the gourami like a grieving family member. And more recently he decided to finish of my dying blackmore by mounting him

Probably normal. Most things in the tank, including fish, will eat other dead fish. You might want to figure out why your fish are dying though (is the tank cycled? Overstocked? Maintenance schedule? Parameters --ammonia, nitrite, nitrate?, etc)

I know theyll eat dead, but the blackmore wasnt dead, last legs yes, dead no. Its more the fact that he finished him off. No issues with tank, the fish deaths were about 10 months apart and the gourami was new to the tank as blackmore was 2 years old
