Disappearing Fish the Weirdest Thing

I have a 29 gallon tank with 5 tiger barbs and 2 glow tiger barbs. Tonight I noticed that one of my glow fish is missing. There's no body and I checked the filter.

Any thoughts? Would the others eat him till there was nothing left? All were accounted for earlier today.

Yes, they could. The other thing to check is the floor. Fish crackers sometimes happen.

Quick update: He must have a really good hidey-hole because this morning he was there. I swear he was not there last night! My son and I scoured the tank and neither of us could find him.
