Okay, so I have a 40 gallon planted tank with 4 Discus dish, 6 Cardinal Tetra, 6 Rummynose tetra and 4 Otto Catfish. These are brand fish I just received last week, the tetras are eating and are doing fine, but the Discus fish aren’t eating at all, they seem to have no interest into food, When the lights turn on they tend to hide. How can I get my new discus fish to eat?

Water parameters are good
Temp is 80 due to plants
I tried to feed frozen beef heart and Tropical Discus pellets.

Thanks in advance

I've never had luck keeping both discus and plants in the same tank. Plants won't make it at the temperatures required for discus. There are high temperature plants, supposedly discus plants. But those never worked for me. It's either discus or plants in my experience.

The tank has been in cycle for 3-4 months, Fish was added last week
Discus wont tolerate much less than pristine water and ideal parameters. They're picky eaters so having fast moving fish or anything that will out compete them is a nono. Temp 82-86, lower light. Not really a novice fish.
