Lightbulb DIY fish food

Hi
Has anyone had any experience making fish food. E.g. home mad pellets?
I was thinking of blending some veg, spirulina, oats then forming and dehydrating them to make small pellets. Just to add some variety. Would this work? Anyone have any experience with this?
Peace
