Does anyone know much about spotted bulldog plecos?

I bought a spotted bulldog pleco yesterday from the lfs. I had the choice between spotted or striped, and went for spotted (they have a really nice full grown spotted bulldog in a display tank, which kind of affected my decision!).

The display bulldog they have ia a greyish brown colour, with dark black spots all over. When i got home with my new pleco, after closer examination, i found that mine had white spots! He's tiny at the moment, (exactly 4cms!) but will his spots change colour with maturity?I havnt seen any pictures of white spotted bulldogs, so i assume they will.

After a searching around for a while i finally found a white spotted bulldog pleco (Chaetostoma pearsei L187). Im guessing that is what i have. I wanted a black spotted (L187a) one really.
