Does anyone know where I can buy Red Whiptail Plecos (L-10A)

These are my favourite fish and I am looking to try to set up a breeding colony. I have one already Mr Whippy, but the online store I bought him from (LiveAquaria.com) no longer has them in stock.

I have not heard of them being succesfully bred in captivity, but there has to be a first time for everything and they are beautiful fish.

Any help much appreciated! Oh and I am probably looking to buy 5 or so.

A fair number up here in Western Canada (a bit far to ship, likely)....three aquarists in my city and one in Winnipeg have successfully spawned them a few times now, so it cannot be that difficult.

Cheers Toirtis good to know that they have been spawned, Do you know if they have anything up on the net e.g conditions they used?

Wow thanks Sara, that was really encouraging to see that they have been spawned and those littl'uns were gorgeous! I cannot wait until I get my hands on a harem for Mr Whippy! Although it looks like it is going to cost an arm and a leg!
