Duckweed eaters

I've seen a lot of light almost illuminous green poop in my cichlid tank and just wondered if they were eating the duck weed?

I have just culled some of the duck weed and wondered if it would be good to throw on to the soil outside so it decays and releases its nutrients back in to the soil?

Any thought?

Yah they're eating it.. my rams were eating my glosso and they were dropping green doodys too. I'd leave it if they're eating it, like a salad buffet.

Got rid of most of it for now but left some in for them to munch on.
