Dust in new 10gallon tank

I have set up a 10 gallon tank to raise the fry from my bigger tank (or at least separate the males)

Its been cycling for 3 weeks with 2 guppies and tetra safe start. During the last few days we've noticed some grey dust all over the ornaments. Can you guys advise what is causing it and how to get rid?

It's most likely detris. Wave your hand gently over the decorations to blow it off right before your WC so you can suck some of it out. Also if you do that a couple times a week it puts it in the water column where your filter can pull some of it out.
