I brought a pair today and they are going for the tiny small pest snails in my tank. has anyone else noticed this before?

many fish are different. never seen it happen with mine. are they eating them or just picking at them?

well they going at them when they on the glass and as they fall they try to get them they fall in the gravel and they carry on after them for a few seconds then give up. I agree etunes if they want to eat them I'm happy to let them lol
Be careful with that "pair". Females are very rarely seen in the hobby except for from breeders and males will mature beyond getting along. I agree on the snail thing though. I've seen a ton of different fish pick at and feel out snails.
