eclipse catfish with cichlids??

Could I keep an eclipse catfish in a 20 gallon tank with 3 African cichlids?

You have two problems there.

First off eclipse catfish get fairly big and need a tank much larger than 20 gallons as far as I know.

Secondly african cichlids (assuming you are talking about Malawi mbuna or peacocks) need four foot tanks at least.

I'd look into a species of dwarf cichlids if you really have your heart set in them and a smaller kind of catfish.

Oh I have a yellow lab cichlid that's the only one of them that I know what its called. And yeah ik they get big, once it outgrew my 20 I was going to put it in a 45 until I could get a really big tank.

For a yellow lab 45 would be fine temporarily, just be sure you will ne able to provide a large enough home down the road before they get too big. Good luck!
