Eels?

So yesterday i saw some freshwater eels on my lfs, i was wondering how big do they grow? And what kind of tankmates can they have? Any special care? Does anyone have this? I took one picture so ill try to put it here.( im still learning this app)

Helps to know the species of eel you have in mind. Many need live food.

They didnt have any name to it, they didnt know what it was

They didn't have a shipping form with the names on it ? They should.. unless it was shipped in error, which does happen. Sometimes they just can't be bothered to go look up the shipping list too.

Well they probably did, but when I asked they just told me they were eels and nothing else, when i asked about them they didnt know anything about them.

Two sites that appear to have some reasonable basic info. They do need live foods, might take frozen. Prefer to feed at night, need hiding places they fit into and space. Lots of space. Can't have tankmates they might eat.. anything they might get a bite on, in other words.

Not always the best pet, but do your research.
