So a few days ago I bought elodea and today I noticed it was growing like these vine things.. is that normal or is something going on with my water?

You have a picture? If they're tiny white string looking things, they're probably roots, but pic would make it easier.

Same thing happened to me, so I asked one of my friends who has freshwater fish and he said it's roots and that it's normal
