I asked my LFS to order me two Butterfly Plecos and they said that they would, but that the fish was hard to keep alive in a tank. Any truth to this? Anyone has some and can provide firsthand experience?

I have one in my daughters tank. He's been in there for months. The tank is kept at 80 degrees. He hangs out under a piece of driftwood covered in java moss. I don't do anything special for him and he seems to be thriving.

They like cooler water, a current, and are somewhat fragile like plecos and loaches tend to be when being transported.
