Feeding shrimp to fish

I have 2 tanks, one 55 gal with community fish and one 20 gallon for breeding red cherry shrimp. I left my house and all the shrimp were alive but when I came home a few hours later I found one dead shrimp, could I just feed that dead shrimp to my fish in the 55?

Well I suppose it depends how it died....I wouldn't just in case it was sick.

Well I did by mistake then I realized something could of happened but now I'm testing the water to make sure, it was a pretty big shrimp so it could of been old and I just got some new baby shrimp from one of them and try seem to be doing fine
