female betta or male plakat?

I bought this betta originally for my mom, she has a betta sorority tank. It was labeled simply as "female betta" but I'm not so sure...I had her in the tank with 6 other female bettas but as I noticed bubble nests forming at the top, idk if females make those..
I took her/him out and into my 15 gallon with neons and guppies.

Okay haha yeah I read online that females can make bubblenests too but I just think her colors are so striking for a female that I had to question it lol. She's a feisty little thing, she loves to flare lol but hasn't attacked anyone. I think I'm gonna keep her in my tank anyway just cuz I really like her

This pet store had a all white one it was so gorgeous but it wasnt for sale

The all white ones are realllyy pretty when they're a bright white and not dingy
