Female Betta Question

Hi all!

In my 15 gal I have a female betta that dropped her eggs this morning and since I was running late to work I couldn't get them out until I got home. But when I got home they were gone. She is the only thing in her divided section so I am guessing that she ate them. Is that ok? Or normal?

No males in this one, he was moved to my 5gal about a month ago. She did drop them when he was in the same tank at one point.

If she had eggs the male is needed to protect them and put them in their nest otherwise the female will eat them

Yes, I'd say she ate them.

So is it ok if they eat them? Just putting the nutrients back in?

Yes, I think it's fairly common when there's no male around.
