Fiddler Crab Dance (video)

About a month ago I bought a fiddler crab from a local pet store and I have to say these guys are pretty interesting. Here's a video of him doing his "dance":

What the pet store told me, however, was that fiddler crabs can do fine in a freshwater environment which apparently isn't true. Anyone have any other info? It's too late to take him back so I suppose I'll just have to wait and see what happens. He seems to be doing great so far!

After a little research, I found this article:

If the crab dies in your tank, it'll cause an ammonia spike. That spike could do harm to your fish.

Does he have access to the surface for air? If not, he'll die.
They should be kept with brackish water, AFAIK.
