Filling my tank

filling a traditional vac with water by scooping the water into it while holding the other end of the tube is how I started them.. once its fairly full of water you just put the vac in the water and let go of the end of the tube below the level of the tank like into the bucket and the syphon starts..
 
using the python, how do you add the dechlorinator to the water before it gets into the tank?
 
You don't have to. Just add the dechlorinator as it's going into the tank or right after you fill it up. I was also a bit skeptical about it too when I first started doing it. I was also told that you fill up 5 gal buckets, put in the dechlorinator, and let it sit 24 hours before doing a water change. But I was assured by everyone here on AA that the python was perfectly safe. So I tried it and haven't ever lost a fish yet due to it.
