Hi all,

I have a 650ish litre tank which is currently only filtered by a Aqua One 2700 (most useless filter) and really isn’t adequately being filtered. It’s very lightly stocked at the moment as such.

I’m ordering a Fluval FX6 which I’ll run alongside the 2700. (Cabinet isn’t made for a sumo so 2 canisters it is).

Would the Fluval set up for Mechanical/Biological and then the 2700 set up for Chemical/polishing be the best way - or leave them both set up pretty standard?

Is there any other filters in a similar price bracket as the Fluval that I should consider? Been looking at bigger Eheim’s but they don’t really seem to be rated up to that volume tank.

For that size tank, I'd strongly recommend a wet/dry filter, also known as a sump. They can be expensive but they do a terrific job of cleaning and putting oxygen in the water.
