We have a 29gallon cube. Want to up grade from HOB. Aquaclear 70 ---- We have 4 Cory's, bristle nose Pleco, 2 syno decorous, 1 syno multi, killifish, pencilfish
--- choices: API Nexx ; Aquaclear 110
Fluval 306 or. Ehiem canister
Ehiem

I'm very pro Eheim canister but not sure that it'd be worth paying the cost for such a small tank. Probably suggest the Fluval 306 for a 29G.

According to ratings Aquaclear 110 does more gph than Fluval 306.
Eventually syno will get rehomed. They get to big

There's a lot of to filtration than simply flow and either way the extra filtration isn't likely to effect your ability to keep the syno.

I have no real experience with the Aquaclear line of filters and while I consider Eheim vastly superior to Fluval I still think the Fluval 306 will do a good job on a tank that size and be better value.

Ended up getting Fluval 206

I have a 406 on my 40 gallon and it is amazing so this one should be fine on 29 gallon
