filter question

Hi, i have been running my new filter with my old one for the past 6 weeks, my question is would it be ok to remove my old filter now? I have a African shrimp in my tank so I want to make sure the new filter will be ok for him. And the tank itself has been running for a year. Thanks

Filter should be fine at this point....ok to use the new one alone.

Best to let them both run for about 3-4 weeks

Best to let them both run for about 3-4 weeks

Thanks, they had both been up and running for 6 weeks so I removed my old one today i was having problems with it.
