Filter question

I have a sun sun canister filter and I recently planted my tank and I noticed that there was plant parts making it threw the filter and getting stuck in the holes of the return tube manly glass was making it threw

my set up is on the

Bottom:
Corse, med, fine and a another fine foam

middle:
ceramic cylinders only

top:
ceramic cylinders and bio balls.

Hi, that's odd, shouldn't do that. How long has the filter been running for? Maybe it is still bedding down (although they should be fairly good from start-up).
