Filter stopped working

Did a total clean out of my tank today and now my filter won't come back on. I have a tetra fauna waterfall decorative filter. Does anyone know what could be wrong or what I can do to get it started back up? Any help is appreciated thanks!!

Well one of my filters broke because it sucked up a hair and it wrapped around the thing that spins to pump the water. But I'm not sure

As vanimal said, check the impeller that rotates inside for obstruction and also the cylindrical hole it fits inside. I use a q-tip to clean mine periodically.

Took it out to see if I could figure it out, one smack and it kicked back on. Not sure what happened but it's working like regular now.

I've had filter mishaps on several filters and usually the pipe isn't placed on the impeller correctly... Try readjusting and it should jump start it.
