No idea what the darker one is but I think the others may be lemon tetra

Also a upside down catfish and a loach of some kind that were hiding. Will have to get pictures when I see them out.

Would love to know what the darker yellow fish is that is hanging with the other yellow fish.

:thanks:

pictus correct? Yep.

clown plecto? Yep. Clown pleco. Another good call.

male and female cherry barb? Yep.

What kind of gourmi is it? Looks like a t. trichopterus of some color variant to me.

red eye tetra? Yep.

Comments in blue. Your IDs are spot on so far IMO.

which is a schooling fish right?
Right now there are
1 angle fish
1 upside down catfish
1 clown pleco
1 loach
2 pictus
2 cherry barbs
5 lemon tetras
1 red eye tetra
1 gold barb
and 3 gourami

I need to either up the numbers on the schooling fish or find them new homes correct?

Also the gourmi seem to be hiding alot that is not something I have read that they usually do. Is there anything in the tank that could be upsetting them?

Is there anything that does not belong in this tank?

Thank you!

These are all better kept in groups.
1 upside down catfish
2 cherry barbs
5 lemon tetras
1 red eye tetra
1 gold barb

I think you're right. I would choose 2 of the species and stock higher numbers of them.

Unless you get VERY lucky and end up with 1 male and 2 female gourami, you'll have trouble down the road. Males don't get along well as they mature and would need a larger tank with plenty of sight breaks. I would suggest no more than 1 for a 46G with an angel.

The pictus cats grow to 12" and are HYPER. They would be better suited to a much larger tank with more aggresive tankmates IMO.

If I can find more gold and cherry barbs I think I will go with those two.

The lemon tetras I will probably move over to my 15 gallon and find a few more.

I have three tanks 46, 29, and 15 would it be ok to put a gourami in each one? 15 is empty and 29 has 4 bolivian rams I am hoping will form one pair.

I will donate the pictus once they get a little bigger. They are a blast to watch right now and hubby has fallen in love...maybe that means a bigger tank

Sounds like a good plan. The 15 may be pushing it for the gourami, but will likely be fine for awhile. Same with keeping one in a tank with bolivians. It will probably be fine until the rams grow out and mature a bit.

Way to angle for another tank.... LOL
