Fish in cycling.

Hey was I supposed to add ammonia to my cycling process? I've never done a fish in cycle.

No, not for fish in. They (and the food) are your source.

Its honestly a personal preference for most people. Fish-in cycling your not looking at an empty tank for weeks waiting for it to cycle. Fishless, you are. Just realize that you have to commit to fish-in cycling for the health and welfare of your fish. This means daily testing of your parameters and frequent water changes to keep toxin levels under control until your tank is fully cycled. Stocking needs to be done very gradually once a fish-in tank is fully cycled while a fishless tank can be fully stocked at once. Each method has its pros and cons.
