Aquarium Advice Activist
So my tank has has just cycled. Due to advice from a local fish shop, i done fish in cycling. What a polava!
For two months i had 5 upside down catfish in the tank. Luckily all have survived and seem healthy. But the poor devils went through weeks of ammonia rises and nitrite spikes.
Also i was at my tank side daily doinf water tests and water changes. 25%, 50%, 75%. Somtimes up to 4 times a day. Alot if time was spent by my tank. I reget none of it as now i have the disered effect ( cycled tank ).
But i wish i found out all my options before this. Cycling is a very important aspect of keeping a tank. I would not reccomend fish in cycling to a noob like myself. I am very greatful now of a tank which is ecologicly balanced. Currently i have obtained a couple of sword tails. The tank is looking nice.
