fish injury?? help!

Hi guys i found my discus with a white line this morning when i was feeding him. He was eating just fine but I don't know if it is a disease or parasite please help!

Hard to tell. I'm not to familiar with Discus although they are gorgeous fish. Some more info might help:

How long has the tank been set up?
What are the water parameters (ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, PH)?
How often do you change water and how much?
What size tank?
Tankmates?
Does the area look cottony or fluffy?
Is it a string that's hanging off the fish or is it on the surface of the fish?
Any reddish areas?
