Fish less cycle help

Okay some of you have been keeping up with my 75 gallon tank evolution. I'm running a fish less cycle with live plants and it's going to be a
Peacock/haps cichlid tank.

Filtration: Cascade 1000 canister & Aquaclear 70 HOB

Heater: 350 watts

This tank has a long story but here is a timeline since I have started the cycle. I would like to know if the cycle is coming along properly or if I need some adjustments.

January 26

All fish have been removed from tank.

pH: 7.4
Ammonia: before: 0ppm---dosed to 4ppm via 12mL of pure ammonia
NitrIte: 0ppm
NitrAte: 0ppm


January 27

Got 20 pounds of sand to be added to tank. (Still has not been added) and removed my driftwood.

pH: 7.4-7.6
Ammonia: before: 1ppm---dosed 9mL bringing to 4ppm
NitrIte: 0.25ppm
NitrAte: 0ppm


January 28

Water has cleared up 10 fold from the beginning.

pH: 7.4
Ammonia: before: 2ppm--- dosed 6mL to 4ppm
NitrIte: 0.50ppm-1.0ppm
NitrAte: 0ppm


January 29 (Today)

pH: 7.4
Ammonia: before: 0.50ppm-1.0ppm, dosed 9mL to 4ppm
NitrIte: 1.0ppm
NitrAte: looks closest to 5.0ppm color



Okay so if possible. Is my cycle coming along okay? If not, how can I fix it?

Keep doing what you are doing. When you can dose to 4 and have 0 ammonia and 0 nitrites in 24 hours several days in a row you are done.
