Recently I started hearing a sounds coming from my fish tank. At first I thought it was the filter or something electrical so I unplugged everything and still I could hear the sound. At that point I realized it was actually coming from the tank itself.

The sound is like a slow chirp or buzz. It repeats, usually three times but sometimes more. It's like "Buzz -- Buzz -- Buzz", usually lasts for about 4 seconds.

I have some pretty standard tropical fish: Discus, angel fish, neon tetras, dwarf African frog, otocinclus, some cory catfish, sparkling gourami, and most recently some Chinese algae eaters. I suspect its the Chinese algae eaters because I never heard this sound before I got them. Any idea what this is?

That's some good stuff you're smoking. Lol.

JK. It's probably your dwarf African frog. They can make loud humming noises

Actually you're right. After your comments I googled it and found this video, it's the same sound. Guess I need to get another frog.
