29 gallons:
My current fish, including five Cory cats and one bristle-nose pleco. I am interested in cichlids and possibly a community. Rams, Kribs and Apistogramma because they are small so that I could have various varieties.

I would also like to change my tank to include live plants. I need the most straightforward plant suggestions because I am terrible with keeping plants. My substrate is gravel, and I don’t want to buy any special equipment.

Suggestions are much appreciated. Thanks, and happy new year!!!

Still treading my way with plants as i'm good at killing them ,But fish stocking as a rule of thumb 1 inch per gallon so you need to know the adult size of the fish before you buy if you have a decent filtration system you may get a couple more in but that is rule of thumb. you mention Rams please no not in a tank that size while they can go in a community tank they need space especially if you end up with a breeding pair they can get aggressive
