Just one question, Anybody ever have a floating breeder box sink? I put my betta in it because he was being pushy with the other fish but I don't want it to sink and drown him.

As long as there was air pockets under the handles I've never had one sink. I have seen them sink if the side handles get submerged.

Thanks for the input. I was worried because the other fish push the box around quite a bit. I left the top off so he could get out if needed.

I found a single Julie fry in my African community tank a few months back, when I was siphoming the gravel. I was concerned that rearranging the rocks would make it more likely to be eaten, so I placed it in a floating breeder box. A bit of gravel and a couple plastic plants for cover, and it was fine, grew nicely (slowly, typical African cichlid). One day, I found it had gone over the wall, the breeder box was empty. Apparently it knew it was large enough to be off the menu, and wanted out of the "kiddie pool". The little bugger is still going strong. :D
