Fluval Edge 46L stocking ideas

[Tank Mate]

Stocking ideas needed!

I've got a Fluval Edge 46 litre tank that's currently being used as a grow out for some juvenile mollies and a temporary home for 1 cardinal tetra and 1 otocinclus. However, they'll soon be moved to their permanent homes, giving me an empty tank to play with.

I'm thinking either going for a schooling effect (maybe with one centrepiece fish) or a species only tank.

Would love to hear your ideas and any reasons behind your recommendations!

Ember tetras are my favor nano fish. Should do well in that size tank. They will stay in a loose group for the most part.
The tightest schooling fish I’ve kept have been Emerald Eye Rasboras. I have some in a 29g.
