I have a 7" 2 yr old Oranda with a large wen. About five months ago his wen finally grew over his eye enough that I learned how to trim it for the first time. I used clove oil and trimmed all around the eye and it worked great. Then about two weeks ago I had to do it again. It went great. Now only two weeks after, his wen has already grown to where it is just above the top of the black of his eye. It seems that every time I trim it makes his wen grow faster. My question is how often is it safe to put him out with clove oil to trim his wen? Is there any danger in using clove oil every few months?
