Funny plecos? Normal behaviour?

I have noticed that all 3 of my plecos will occasionally go from sedate and on the gravel to streaking to the surface like a blue-faced-swimmer and then diving back down and acting normal.
Has anyone else seen this behaviour? Does it mean anything? Is it a fishy dare?
I haven't seen anyone startle them, that I would understand!

My 8 inch plec does it as well. I've seen him occasionally go to the surface and gulp some air, which is normal. I've also seen him spaz around the tank, which is also normal but definitely weird LOL

So there is nothing to worry about? 8O I just have early bloomers? Whew!
So many other things have gone wrong I was really hoping this wasn't another sign of something expensive and heart breaking!
Thank you, thank you, thank you! Did I say thank you?
