I bought 2 german blue rams about a month ago and one the male has grown and the colours are really nice in this fish however the female has not grown at all even though she regularly eats. She also has hardly any colour compared to the male, all she has is a little blue in the cheeks. Is this normal or should I be expecting the worst thanks for reading.

Females are usually just about as bright as males. I have seen some GBRs that are more drab than others. If she looks healthy and is eating, she might just be a less colorful specimen.

What are you feeding them? Any live foods? GBRs can be picky eaters at first.

She eats everything from frozen daphnia to flake and sinking pellets. She just doesn't grow or show any colour. She is the same 1 inch in size as when I got her a month ago and the male has grown by over half an inch since then
