Started making my sponge filter today. Petsmart didn't have a sponge though... To petco!

Since you have a 23 gallon, I would get a 20 or 30 gallon size one and cut it down to what you need. Or just use the whole thing lol

Haha yeah... I'm putting mine in my main tank today, but that's just to cycle it for my 40+ gallon (I'm not sure what size my parents will agree to lol) that I'm gonna design to hide it but make it easily accessible. My mom thinks it's ugly and doesn't want it in our 23 gal display tank, so we're gonna stick to our internal filter, or possibly get a hob for it. How long would I need to keep it in my main tank running alongside my internal before I could use it to instantly cycle a new tank?
