German Blue Rams Feeding

I bought four German blue rams and they are in a 50 gallon heavy planted tank and they look very pretty hiding and swimming in plants.

But, they seem to be not interested in food. I tried bloodworms, pellets, flakes but they seem to just sit inside plants. In the meanwhile other fish eat food. Are the picky eaters or is it that they just came to my tank?

There tankmates are two angelfish and two bandit cichlids.

Thanks. So they are picky at first. I will try to feed bloodworms or other meaty foods to induce there appetite. My water parameters are fine.

They are not picky but they will not compete with other more active fish for food.
They will starve often from fear...The are 'micro-geophagus' meaning small earth eater.
They like to chew and spit their food till it is small and easily swallowed. They forage around the bottom for food ,but will not survive on scraps or if all the other fish eat all the food before them.Mine we eagerly [like piranha ] accept flake and pellet food like NLS...They splash me if I don't throw them enough food quickly, but they are the only fish in their tanks.
I breed and sell rams so like it or not my advise FOR ALL who wants rams is don't if they are not going to be the #1 fish in the tank. It sounds like you added to an established tank.. Who is in the tank they just moved into?
They may grow in well or be buying time depending on who is already in there...

Thanks for the detailed reply. Yes they are added in an established tank with Angelfish etc. They started to eat now. Now eating bloodworms. I will continue to give them bloodworms for some time more to induce there appetite and they aren't afraid or shy of any other fish. They as there habit stay in plants but often swim around in non planted areas and also come to surface to eat and also at bottom.
