Getting him to eat a varied diet...

How do I do it?



My midas/RD mix will eat frozen brine shrimp, frozen blood worms, his omega one cichlid pellet, crickets, minnows (QT'd) and omega one shrimp pellets (only if he is REALLY hungry).

He will eat anything else. I want to get him vareity, but he won't budge.


Also, he has lots of hiding spots, but is still a scaredy cat. He is pushing 5 inch or with tail, and has killed two convicts, yet only is personable when I am feeding him. However, if my hand gets too close to the water, he won't eat, he'll run and hide. It seems like he has regressed, as at one point he would swim over to meet me anywhere on the tank...

I'm confused.
The diet sounds like it has plenty of variety.
And if he will eat anything else I really don't understand the problem, and/or question.

My guess is "He will eat anything else" is a typo, ie: "Won't eat anything else". If this is the case, the diet you listed first is absolutely fine.

I was under the impression that I should varry up his pelleted foods?

I dunno, thats why I'm asking lol...
