anyone here have ghost shrimp? are they a benifit to a tank as a clean up crew like any other shrimp? i have 2 in my 29 gallon with tetras, you think theyll be eaten?

i figured they would be in good hands with my neons and bloodfins and such, i couldnt put them with my discus.lol the shrimp are actually kinda bigger than my tetras.lol

no, you won't likely get any viable offspring from them. Many require brackish water to successfully breed but even the full freshwater ones can be tough to breed. They go through a larval stage and can be difficult to raise.

If you want a shrimp that reproduces easily go with red cherry shrimp.

well, theyre not sold around me, and im not trustworthy of shipping fish to me.. i couldve gotten as manywas i wanted to, i only had enough space for 2.

Can 2nd Mr Limpet with the Amano, they are great CUC, am thinking of adding some Ghost shrimp to the tank as well.
