Good feeding schedule?

Feed my koi and fancy goldfish everyday of the week, but i fast them on Saturdays. Im just checking if thats an appropriate feeding schedule?

As long as the fish eat all the food you put in, not much food will become waste. I don;t know if feeding fish actually make them create more waste. If they are anything like people, they have an intestine already loaded and ready to go.

I think the general understanding is that fish will eat when they can so one day without food won;t hurt most fish.

Its probably ok but for my guys, a fast is skipping a single meal rather than a day of meals. Goldies do not have a 'true' stomach that can store food so they do better with smaller, more frequent meals.

I only feed them one large portion a day
