got a new tank... weight issue?

hey guys, so my 29 gal was bowing and my wife didnt want to take the chance, nor did I , so we went and got an all-glass 37 gal(comes with a center brace). Here's my question: it's got the same dimensions as the 29 , but it 22 inches tall instead of 18, so it fits on the stand I already had.. a perfecto , black, wood, single door.. do you think the extra weight (8 gal) will be an issue? hope not

The lack of additional water is good for keeping things stable, however since you did not gain any more of a footprint, I would stock it as if it was a 29g. Most fish are territorial side to side, not up and down.

The weight should no be an issue, Perfecto makes a similar tank (they call it a 38X) and they reccomend their 30x12 stands for it. Obviously, check to make sure you are putting the stand on a flat level surface.

1 gal. is 7-8 lbs. it will be fine.
