is it cool to have a peice of wood in a cichlid tank?

Ya if it's driftwood. They usually look great in a new world cichlid tank, but can work in an African tank too. I guess you're referring to your 29. I'm assuiming those fish in there are juveniles. You will need a 75, or at least a 55, for when they are adults. The gourami will get killed if you keep them with an oscar and JD for too long.

i took the wood out, it was lowering the ph.
