Does anyone have much experience keeping them? I've had a bad experience years ago but realized later that the tank wasn't done cycling and an ammonia spike took the puffers I had. My LFS started carrying them and I'm thinking of setting up a species tank. Thanks for any info!

The GSP will do best in salt water. Although they are sold as FW fish, they actually travel back and forth between fresh, brackish, and salt water in the wild. If you acclimate them to salt water (mine is in SG 1.025 water), you'll have less trouble with ich and other common ailments.

I was going to suggest Jackdp read that article! It is the first thing I thought of when I saw the thread. Great work, Pufferpunk :D
