I have a tiger barb (green) and it doesnt look as green as the other is more like a dull green but it is acting ok and he is eating is that normal??

Regular tiger barbs look very uniform. Maybe small variations in the stripes, but the coloring is usually the same. The green tiger barb is a straight line color morph from the original tiger. As a result they have different green color patterns and color shades.
Sometimes when a fish is picked on or frightened their colors will fade or darken. Since your barb is acting normally that's probably not the case.

I've noticed my barbs that are lighter colored are female.
