Guppies swim in middle and bottow of tank

My guppies like the middle ad bottom of my tank i thought they liked top? Maybe I should turn down my air pump? It a 29 gal

the guppies go almost everywhere. but they tend to stay in the middle they are not always at the top and it also depends on the fish's own personality

Most my whole stock seem to prefer the bottom half. dwarf gourami, guppy, platy, cardinal tetra,......the whole top of my tank stays empty.lol.............
