Guppy male to female ratio

Quick question about the male to female ratio with guppies. I know your supposed to keep to females to every male but I'm wondering if this is only if your planing to keep more than one male. Can u keep just one male and one female without any problems.

Not really. The problem is the male will chase the female and peck at her. You should have at least 2 females for every male if not more

Unless you want babies just keep all males. They are more colorful anyway. You need 3-4 females for each male because they are aggressive maters
