had to get pump out of tank as it had stopped working and not tried getting it out yet.

i have the tank on top of a stand/cupboard and all the wires going into the bottom of cupboard thru a hole in back.

anyway, i couldn't get the plug back thru hole to get it out, as the cupboard is too close to the wall now, and i can't move it as the tank is too heavy

what a plank

Sounds like one of those learning experiences. :?

Good luck solving the problem. How big is the tank? Could you maybe empty it out, putting the fish in another tank or a big bucket until you get the stand moved away from the wall?

I say cut the wires near the plug, and buy a new plug from a hardware store to hook it back up. Unplug it first!

I am not a hardware perosn but would prbably cut the wires and buy new stuuf and move the tank. Be sure to unplug it first, dont want to fry yourself.
