I have some major issues with what looks to be green hair algae in my fw commumity tank. It is planted so the algae is all over the glass, gravel, an plants which im sure the fish dont like and i dont either. Any suggestions on what to do or what products to buy that wont endanger my fish or plants?- kurt

Bristlenose plecos, Siamese algae eaters, and figuring out what is out of balance.

I have 5 chinese alge eaters, but maybe a bristlenose would help... But there must be something out of balance

I am getting quite a lot of hair algae in my 90 litre (20 gallon) tank, most of it seems to be growing on the internal filter and going from there?
I have an external filter to fit next week so hopefully that might help the issue. :)

if everything in the tank was balanced would the hair algae just start to die?
