hatchet question

I would really like to put some hatchet fish in one of my tanks, but for the life of me I can't figure out how you do a PWC without having them jump out. What is the magic trick? I have several 30 gallon tanks and clean weekly with a python. I just finished--it took me two hours, and there's water everywhere. I inadvertently wash my kitchen floor every Sunday evening. Now to enter the parameters on my charts.

The trick is to not have high current. They hate current, i had one that wouldnt go anywhere near my low flow filter.
