Help!

This is my first thread, so forgive me if I've stuffed something up!
In the picture attached is my dwarf gourami, I was wondering if it was a male or female as I'm very new to keeping fish and I haven't got a clue.

Welcome to AA! I think from reading other posts i understand this. So it looks like a male to me i think. I guess we will find out when someone else replys. Good lick

Looks like a male to me too, but I don't know a ton about gouramis. From what I've read the males are the ones most sold because the females are less colorful and can be a brownish color or less vibrant, but that's the extent of my knowledge haha. Welcome!

Thanks so much guys, I had a feeling it might be. He seems rather territorial and I read somewhere that the males are.
